My Newest Addition {Tri Cities TN Newborn Photographer}

On January 6th - which also happens to be my birthday - I was given one of the greatest gifts of all... a sweet, innocent little newborn baby.  Getting him here was definitely NOT a gift, but of course it's all worth it in the end.  Any mother knows what I mean.  The indescribable feeling when you're handed this precious little person for the first time.  It amazes me how fast they grow... I'm so glad that I was able to snag a few shots while he was still super new.  Somehow three weeks have flown by without me even knowing it!  Thank goodness my mom was here to help with the session because it was a fiasco!!  My 4 year old was having a total and complete mental breakdown, I was tired and still recovering and we were all adjusting to life with a new baby!!  As I shared earlier though, somehow we managed to get one awesome shot that I am SOOOO happy and grateful for!!  I felt like I had a glimpse into what my clients must feel when they see images of the important people in their lives for the first time... All I could think about was getting that picture on. my. wall. asap!!!  (And you better believe it already is!!)

Anyways, this is my new little man and his awesome big sister and brother!!!  I love them each to PEICES!!

My "plan" is to get him into the studio again for some more newborn pictures... but we'll see how that goes.  I have tons of adorable boy hats I wanted to get him into and didn't get a chance!!  

<3 A Stack of Love <3 - Kingsport, TN Photographer

I'm going to keep the writing to a minimal - mainly because I should really be sleeping instead of posting this picture, but I just can't help it.  I'm in love.  I've had a wish granted!!  It was crazy and I wish I had a video of what went on behind the scenes, but I was somehow lucky enough to capture this image of my three beautiful children... The top little bundle arrived last Friday and has been such a joy.  I can't wait to get this blown up as huge as possible on a gallery wrap.  I can't think of anything better.  Enjoy... =)

2011 Favs...

I still can't believe another year has come and gone!!  Where has the time gone?  To say the least, 2011 was AWESOME here at BDP - thanks to YOU!  As a tribute - below are some of my personal favorites from this year's sessions and a few of my personal pictures thrown in the mix too.  I have been and am so blessed with such truly kind, fun and real clients - it has been my pleasure to photograph you and your families!!  I'm looking forward to another wonderful year and can't wait to see what and who it has in store.  

Changes: I have updated my 2012 Pricing - which can be found under the "Investment" tab in the menu.  I am happy to announce that I am offering all return clients a special thank you for the entire year - your choice of two complimentary gift prints!!  Just because I love ya so much.

Side note: I will be taking a maternity leave beginning next week until who knows when... February or March probably.  Stay tuned for pictures of our new little guy who is due to arrive any day now!!  In the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact me with questions, scheduling, etc. and I will get back to you as soon as I can!

G Family - sneak peek {Bristol, TN Family Photographer}

This was probably one of the easiest, quickest, happiest sessions I've ever done!!  Talk about a Christmas gift!  Michele contacted me several months ago about photographing her family while everyone was in town for the holidays.  I'm so glad the weather was perfect because this was the only day we could do it!!  They are the funnest bunch of people - I had a blast with them!!  Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek, and thanks again so much for an awesome session!!!

Mr. M - sneak peek {Johnson City TN Photographer}

This was Mr. M's second time in the studio this year - you can see his session from February {HERE} .  The last go-round he was not in the mood for pictures, so I was curious to see how this time would go.  The second they walked in the studio door he jumped into my arms and gave me a hug!!  Off to a good start!  He didn't last too long, but long enough to catch some adorable shots of him... he's such a cutie pie!!!  He was clapping, dancing and blowing kisses the whole time!  Thanks for a fun time guys - it was so great to see you again!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Hannah + Mac = Married - sneak peek {Tri-Cities, TN Photographer}

These faces are sure to be familiar now from their engagement session on Friday...  Hannah and Mac's wedding was just perfect.  The weather was great (much warmer than Friday's session!!!) and the decorations were gorgeous.  Both the ceremony and reception were at the Holiday Inn in Johnson City and everything was fabulous.  Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day - you are surrounded by amazing family and friends who love the two of you, and it was such a joy to see it in person.  Enjoy the sneak peek!!

Mac + Hannah - sneak peek {East Tennessee Photographer}

I love doing engagement sessions... watching two people who are so crazy in love with each other just makes you happy, and Mac and Hannah were no exception.  They were so comfortable and sweet together... they're perfect for one another.  It was another FREEZING session.  Once that sun went behind the mountains it kept getting colder by the second!!  Luckily they had eachother to cuddle up with and I've got a little bun in the oven that keeps me warm - so we made it through!  Congratulations to Hannah and Mac who are getting married TOMORROW!!!!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

The Z Family 2011 - sneak peek {East Tennessee Photographer}

You might recognize the beautiful family from last year - right around this time...  It was almost like deja vu... it was freezing, everyone's eyes were watering, downtown Johnson City location, hints of red... {Click HERE to see their sneak peek from last year}  This year was better though because it rained BEFORE the session and not DURING!  Mama is one of my good friends who no longer lives here and this was a very special session.  Her hubby is leaving for Pakistan for a year - so these pictures with Daddy will be very cherished.  I love this family and am so happy I had the chance to capture them today!  Enjoy your sneak peek =)

Mark & Jaime - sneak peek {Johnson City TN Maternity Photographer}

I cannot wait to see what this baby girl looks like... she will be so beautiful coming from these two, that's for sure!!!  Jaime and Mark are good friends of ours and we are actually due only 5 days apart - she's having a girl and I'm having a boy...  She basically FORCED me to take a couple pictures with her and made me promise I'd post them here, so I included one at the bottom (can you tell I'm not fond of pictures of me??) - PS: good job Mark the photographer-in-training!  =)  I'm so excited for them and know that they will make aweosme parents!!  I had a wonderful time with them last night and I'm loving the evening light in some of these... The L Family 2011 - sneak peek {Johnson City TN Family Photographer}

I was so thrilled when I got Mom's email about doing family pictures.  Even though my calendar was to the brink of fullness, I always make sure to get return clients in, no matter what it takes!!!  We had to reschedule a couple times, but everything always turns out the way it should... and today was the perfect day!  The weather was gorgeous this afternoon in downtown Johnson City.  Mr. E had grown SO MUCH since the last time I saw him... check out his 3 month session from last September... he was so precious!!!  He just keeps getting cuter and cuter.  I think he looks more like Mom now, even though Dad doesn't agree =)  I sure love this family and could have spent all night with them.  Thanks again guys and enjoy your sneak peek!!!
